Mandatory disclosure sessions being held in August

(July 27, 2011)

Mandatory Disclosure of Residential Building Performance Public consultations will be held in WA on the next stage of plans for the mandatory disclosure of residential building energy, water and greenhouse performance. This initiative is to investigate the benefits and costs of implementing legislation to require information on a property’s energy, water and greenhouse performance to be disclosed when a property is placed on the market for sale or rent. The outcomes of the public consultations will help determine how to provide credible and consistent information to householders that may assist them in factoring in potential running costs and environmental impacts into what is generally, the largest-ever purchase decision for Australians. Two sessions in WA will be held in August, one in Bunbury on the 8th & the other in Perth on the 9th, see you there!
